Hi, and welcome to Enviro Auto Plus. My name is Michael Beukema and I am writing this page to tell you a little about my background.
My passion for the automobile started to grow even before I learned to drive. It was during the 5th grade when I gained my first experience working on my dad's and brother's cars. This gave me a taste for automotive repair, but it wasn't until I began my first professional job in the Fall of 1988 that my real education began. Helping customers by diagnosing and repairing real automotive problems is something that can only be mastered by working in an auto shop on a daily basis.
In 1988, I started at the local Toyota Dealership. Working there has given me a love for Toyotas. To start my journey with Toyota, I had the privilege of being mentored by a 10-year Toyota Master Tech, who was able to pass on to me his knowledge of Toyotas and their history. Learning how to repair cars the "old school" way (not just replace parts), combined with common sense, has greatly sharpened my diagnostic skills.
Over the years with Toyota, I have seen a trend not only of dependability and quality, but also of Toyota's increased awareness of and concern for the environment. This has really caught my attention, and has become a growing concern and passion of mine as well. This is where I am today. Knowing that Toyota is doing their part to better the environment, I feel that it is my job to help the owners of Toyotas do all they can to keep their vehicles running the best they can.
